Living Well with Chronic Illness Classes

The "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions" course now includes a CHRONIC PAIN SELF-MANAGEMENT component and workbook.

We are pleased to pass along information from the BC Ministry of Health Services/University of Victoria about the free educational workshops on the North Shore.

Visit www.coag.uvic.ca/cdsmp or call toll free at 1-866-902-3767 for more information or to register.

Learn about tools to manage chronic pain conditions in a FREE six-week session health educational workshop. Free reference workbook will be provided; feel free to bring a family member, friend or caregiver. Space is limited, so sign up early.

Here are some dates and locations coming up on the North Shore, in the Lonsdale corridor area: times and dates to accommodate most people.
  • Lions Gate Hospital, Medical Day Center, six Wednesday evenings or six Saturday mornings.
  • Silver Harbour Seniors Center, Friday afternoons.
  • John Braithwaite Community Center, Thursday evenings.

Call 1866-902-3767 for up coming workshop information details and to register. Ask about having a course run in your area or becoming a course co-leader.

Hi there: I have just been diagnosed with Myofascial Pain Syndrome and Fibromyalgia and I feel that I would really benefit from a chronic pain support group. When does the Saturday Morning meeting at Lion's Gate Hospital start? Can you send me more info to northvanamy@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Amy
